Job Posting
Updated April 29th, 2026
Local 73 would like to inform our membership that Brother Mario Leblanc will be leaving his position as Apprenticeship & Training Coordinator, following his acceptance of a new role as National Program Coordinator with the National Training Trust Fund (NTTF).
Since assuming the role in June 2017, Mario has played a key part in advancing training and apprenticeship opportunities within our Local. During his tenure, he contributed to several significant milestones and has been an integral member of the Local 73 administration team. His dedication and forward-thinking approach have left a lasting impact that will benefit future generations of Boilermakers.

National Day of Mourning – April 28
Each year on April 28, we observe the National Day of Mourning, a day to remember and honour workers who have been injured, made ill, or lost their lives due to workplace incidents.
For the members of Boilermakers Local 73, this day carries deep meaning. Our trade is built on skill, pride, and hard work—but also on the responsibility we all share to look out for one another. Every worker deserves to return home safely at the end of their shift.
Today, we pause to remember those we have lost and to stand in solidarity with their families, friends, and coworkers. We also renew our commitment to strengthening safety in every job, every site, and every task.
Safety is not just a policy—it is a responsibility. It lives in the decisions we make, the standards we uphold, and the way we support each other on the job.
Boilermakers Local 73 encourages all members to take a moment of silence today to reflect, remember, and recommit to a safer future for all workers.
We remember. We honour. We will never forget.
